I think you will be happy with it as long as there is no problem with it. They seem to be pretty tough and reliable. Mine has a couple of little qurkes, like when changing bands is sometimes gets stuck on the 17 meter band and wont change to any other band, but I have found that if I enter the programming mode and then exit it, it will let me change bands again. It’s not a show stopper by any means, it just would have been nice if LNR would have finished the firmware and fixed little niggles like that. Frankly, I don’t think they had any control over the manufacturer to get them to fix firmware related problems, and that’s why they dropped the (FX) line. The Chinese wont release source code or schematics for these radios because they think we, or somebody else is going to copy their design:-(
