I have my EF Quad strung from the top of a pine tree down to the corner of my patio roof. The SWR is about 1.1 on 40M, 20M, and 15M in the center of the phone band. On 10M, at 28.5 Mhz, the SWR is 3:1. The resonant frequency is about 29.5 Mhz. That would seem to imply that the 10M stub needs to be lengthened. Is this normal?

I added a 9″ piece of wire to the existing 10M stub. That brought the resonant point down to 1.8 SWR. The 2.0 SWR points are now 28.3 Mhz to 28.9 Mhz. I am still curious as to why the SWR would not be lower. I checked the other 3 bands and they are still about 1.2.
