I bought a used LD-11 and like the receiver and the rig quite a bit overall. My LD-11 has a delay in the sidetone. If you are sending the letter “c”, on the first dash, there is a delay with the sidetone and it makes a bit of a peculiar sound right at the beginning of the first dash. On the following dots and dashes, the sidetone works perfectly. The delay shows up again at the beginning of the next letter.

I do CW at 25 to 30 WPM, and this delay is throwing off my timing and making it very hard to send proper CW. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Thanks.

Mine does the same. I watched a video on YouTube about it. There is no cure that I know of. I use an external keyer. Ln don’t make the transceiver so no chance of getting it fixed, I use Arial 51’s firware, it’s much better and more up to date. I haven’t tried cw with the new firmware yet.
