Has anyone had any success getting CAT control for the LD-5 working under Linux? I have control of my Yaesu FT-450D working fine, but can’t seem to hit on the right combination of settings to get my Raspberry Pi or Xubuntu Laptop to work. The device shows up when I use lsusb, and I can see /dev/ttyUSB0 is the device. I’m using the Kenwood TS-2000 as the rig model for hamlib, with the settings indicated in the document on LNR’s website, but when I try to connect to it, there is either no response, or the radio goes into transmit mode.

    Thanks,
    Scott WZ0W

    Scott,
Not to my knowledge. But the LD-5 is the same protocol as the kenwood 2000.

OK, thanks. I’ve managed to get communication started with flrig, which by itself is not particularly useful. However, it indicates that it is possible. Primarily I am hoping to get the LD-5 connected to CQRLog but so far no joy.
