Hi, as a new user of MTR3b (and MTR5b, I know it is a fetish to have them both but I could not resist… 🙂 ) – I am curious how does the low battery voltage alarm work?
I set this up at 11.5V just to check, but when the voltage both on the battery (measured independently) and display on my MTR3b – nothing really happened when the voltage dropped below the alarm value. Or I might have missed it.

So what is the default action by the rig? A single beep? Periodical beeps? Any other alarms?

Thanks for your comments, esp. from the users.. 🙂

The letter “L” will be displayed on the LED readout when the voltage drops below the set point. The factory setting is 5.5 volts. This is the absolute minimum the MTR3 will functionoperate at.

    73 for now,
