I purchased a MTR5b several moth ago, and I like the tiny radio very much.
One minor problem I have been having is the level of the side tone audio. It is too loud comperaing revceiving signal, and I have to use variable register to adjust it.
Is there any ways to ajust the audio level of the side tone? Any relevant information is appreciated. Thanks.

You might try an inline volume control.

Thank you for the suggestion. Actually, that what I am doing right now, but it is a little awkward to adjust the volume control every time switching receiving radio signal to side tone. By the way, R26 in the schematic seems control the level of side tone, and I am wondering to try to replce the fixed value registance to a variable registance so that the two volumes are matched. I wonder if some body has already tried this.
