The reference to FX-4A on QRP Tansceivers folder and its price in the store folder has disapeared. What happened ? Are you going to give up on this transceiver and replace it by the LD-5 transceiver ?
June 16, 2016 at 9:13 am #3123kb6qviParticipantI certainly hope they don’t give up on it, its my favorite QRP transceiver and I have both the FX-4A and the LD-5.

I have the FT-817ND but I’m a bit tired of the volume and weight I have to carry.
I bought a ENDFEDZ a few years ago to LNR and I was positively impressed with the product and company.
Unfortunately now they didn’t even bother to answer my emails regarding this transceiver. I think I’ll have to spend my money somewhere else …June 21, 2016 at 8:35 am #3125kb6qviParticipantWelcome to LNR, unfortunately that seems to be their reputation.

I think you will be happy with it as long as there is no problem with it. They seem to be pretty tough and reliable. Mine has a couple of little qurkes, like when changing bands is sometimes gets stuck on the 17 meter band and wont change to any other band, but I have found that if I enter the programming mode and then exit it, it will let me change bands again. It’s not a show stopper by any means, it just would have been nice if LNR would have finished the firmware and fixed little niggles like that. Frankly, I don’t think they had any control over the manufacturer to get them to fix firmware related problems, and that’s why they dropped the (FX) line. The Chinese wont release source code or schematics for these radios because they think we, or somebody else is going to copy their design:-(

Now wasn’t it simpler to say this either in the forum or on the product’s page?
I sincerely hope that the “new version…” with “…more bands” isn’t the FX-9A or I will really be very disapointed ….
End of the line for me.
Just bought a YOUKITS TJ2-B, does the same 3 bands I’m interested in, hope to have many and good QSO’s with it in the future.73’s.
