We have some staff that occasionally monitor the forums, but they are truly meant as a user group forums. We do have a contact us form, email and phone that where we answer support calls. Unfortunately, being a small company, that is the only way we can keep up.
Regarding your question, the 12VDC max is the voltage you need to stay at or under where we can guarantee that you will not damage the finials. We routinely get emails from customers running 12.5 VDC or in the 13 VDC range with no issue, but they are pushing the limits beyond what is rated. Hope this helps.
There is no RF on the short shaft and motor- it is just way too short in
terms of wavelength to be “seen”. There is a ferrite choke on the
motor leads to prevent RF from getting onto the remote connecting cable.
The software utility we provide on our website has been tested fully with Windows 7 and the included cable but not Windows 8. We are unfortunately at Hamcom in Texas without access to a Windows 8 system, but will find a solution as soon as we are back in our shop. Meanwhile, here is a quick little youtube clip of correcting the Windows 8 prolific driver issue. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8cojWp8qY0
We do NOT endorse this yet as we havent tested it but possibly it could work in the meantime.
As another person mentioned, if you happen to have access to a intel based device (laptop/notebook) running Windows 7, it will work with the provided cable.
That is correct and still on pace to ship as we promised. As soon as it ships, you will receive an email notification along with tracking information. Thanks!
